EQUAL PAY DISCRIMINATION

You feel that you have been a subject of equal pay discrimination on your job. You are not certain whether you are protected by law against the behavior you are experiencing on the job or at the hands of your employer, whether manifested in employment decisions, policies, recruitment, hiring, or in the way you are treated.

According to the EEOC, the prohibition against equal pay discrimination means employers may not pay unequal wages to men and women who perform jobs that require substantially equal skill, effort and responsibility, and that are performed under similar working conditions within the same establishment. You should seek the advice of counsel.
